Biography
Every action-art painting is lovingly crafted by artist Fran Richley who has maintained a passion for motor sport for many years and made this a focus of his artwork. Over the last 11 years the artist has worked exclusively in the acrylic medium to produce his paintings and many of his prints are personally signed by drivers and/or co-drivers and offered to motorsport enthusiasts at no additional cost. The artist is careful both in relation to the reference material he uses and the authority to produce the particular image. This approach adds a further degree of authenticity to his work.
“My intention is to produce a quality product, from the first pencil stroke to dispatch to the customer, in order to make the experience of purchasing one of my paintings a real pleasure and investment. I want to build and maintain a reputation for highest quality artwork and to that end, painting with acrylics really suits my painting style. "
action-art started in 2008 when Fran received two commissions from former World Rally co-driver Nicky Grist to commemorate the life of rallying legend, Colin McRae, tragically killed in a helicopter crash in 2007. Since then Fran hasn't looked back and has completed official artwork with motor sport icons including:

Already, many people have enjoyed watching Fran working hard on his artwork (and purchased one of the limited edition prints!) at world class events such as the 'Goodwood Festival of Speed' and ' Wales Rally GB'. What is certain is that there are a rapidly growing number of motor sport enthusiasts who are now collecting action-art fine art prints or seeking to commission individual artwork from Fran.
Every action-art sale raises money for motor sport related charities including the 'McRaeVision Charity', 'Wings for Life', 'Richard Burns Foundation' and 'Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital'. Between 10% and 15% of the sale price of each print is donated to charity.
