Stage Time' is artist Fran Richley’s latest offering and depicts the late, great Richard Burns and his co-driver, Robert Reid, competing in the 2002 Catalunya Rally. The painting was commissioned by the Richard Burns Foundation in November 2009 and is fully supported by the Burns' family. A percentage of every sale is being donated to the Richard Burns Foundation which strives to inspire and offer support both to people with serious illness and injury and their families.

With millimetre perfect precision Burns responds to Reid's pace notes and courts the fine line between brilliance and disaster, necessary to achieve the quickest time through the stage. For a brief moment the rear inside wheel of the Peugeot 206 WRC is suspended in mid air before the Burns' mastery entices the car onward and upward towards the next corner and the stage end.

Only 150 large and 75 small prints of ‘Stage Time’ will be produced, each one signed by the artist. In addition all of the large prints are also personally signed by co driver, Robert Reid and in line with the action-art philosophy are being offered to collectors at no additional cost.
