‘Sand Stormer’ is a limited edition fine art print produced by motor sport artist Fran Richley. This picture depicts driver, Lewis Hamilton, powering his way to a podium finish during the first race of the 2010 season amid a dramatic background of palm ferns.
Despite the presence of such lush greenery, in reality the dust and heat of Bahrain combine to ensure that each 5.4km lap of the circuit presents a serious challenge for both driver and machinery; Lewis and the MP4-25 race car are both more than up to the task.
It is fitting that the launch of this work coincides with the conclusion of one of the most exciting Formula One seasons in history.
The painting has been produced with the full consent of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and the company logo is set into the mount of each print. Irrespective of demand only 150 large and 75 small prints will be produced each of them being personally signed by the artist.
At the request of McLaren a percentage from every sale is being donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
