Vatanen & Richards - 'Glory Days'

Glory Days' is a limited edition print by artist Fran Richley depicting former WRC driver Ari Vatanen and co-driver David Richards competing in the infamous Acropolis Rally in 1981. The painting is unique in that it was commissioned by David Richards and Ari Vatanen in 2009. Every print is individually signed by the artist but, in addition, the first 70 large prints are also personally signed by both Ari Vatanen and David Richards. 

 ‘Glory Days' not only features one of the great WRC driver /co-driver partnerships but also depicts one of the most fondly remembered cars from a great era in rallying history: The Rothmans sponsored, Dave Sutton prepared, Ford Escort Mk II. The artist has perfectly captured the familiar profile of this historic rally icon being driven in anger on a gravel strewn rally stage.

Irrespective of public demand only 150 large prints and 75 small prints will be produced and a percentage of every sale is being donated to the Colin McRae Vision Foundation.
