Wilson & Harris - 'Working Out'

Launched to the public at Wales Rally GB 2011, ‘Working Out' is the first in a series of fine art prints by motorsport artist Fran Richley entitled 'THE GROUP B SERIES'. The painting depicts former WRC driver, Malcolm Wilson and co-driver, Nigel Harris competing in the challenging stages of the 1986 Sanremo Rally.

In the hands of Williams Grand Prix Engineering the humble Austin Metro was transformed into the muscular, mid-engined, four-wheel-drive MG Metro 6R4 rally car. The 6R4 existed for just one reason: to dominate Group B rallying.

Given that the legendary 6R4 was one of the most powerful rally cars ever produced, driving one in anger demanded a precise blend of skill and physical effort. Here, Wilson and Harris exhibit both in abundance.

The painting is unique in that it was commissioned by Malcolm Wilson and whilst every print is individually signed by the artist, around half of the large prints are also personally signed by Malcolm Wilson and in line with action-art's philosophy are being offered to collectors at no additional cost.

The original Williams Grand Prix Engineering logo is also being set in every print mount with the kind permission of Patrick Head, confirming this print as the genuine article.

Irrespective of public demand only 150 large prints and 75 small prints of 'Working Out' will be produced .
